3 Homemade Tricks for Minimizing Pores

Large pores are a pain in the you-know-what. Over time your pores stretch from being clogged with oil and dead skin cells, which creates acne and dark spots that make the pores more visible. Covering up the gaping pores with make-up only makes the outcome worse. First things first always completely remove make-up following up with an astringent to make sure all access and dirt is removed. Second, do not pop your pimples. Although it is so enticing, popping them will only add to the large pore problem. Here are 3 cost-efficient homemade remedies for minimizing pore size:

1. Sauna

Steam your face once a week to open pores. Fill a large bowl with hot water(extra warm, but not scolding) and hold your face over it to soak up the steam. Place a towel over your head capture all of the steam. After your pores up are opened, take a washcloth drenched in lemon juice and firmly place it on your face. Rinse with warm water. Lemon juice tightens the skin and naturally cleans and minimizes the pores.

2. Egg Whites

Combine one egg white with 2 tbsp. lemon juice and apply a thin layer to your face. Let the mixture dry for approximately 45 to 60 minutes then rinse with cool water and a gentle soap. You can use the remedy twice a week! Anymore than that may leave your face dry.

3. Ice Cubes & Lemon Juice

Apply fresh lemon juice to face then gently press ice cubes along your face for 15-30 seconds. The lemon and ice combination will tighten and minimize the pores on your face.
