Teens today don’t have a lot of time to do a whole lot of things with their everyday look so we sat down with Eden Sanaa Duncan-Smith who is one of the busiest teens we know to ask her some beauty tips. Eden made her Broadway debut in 2010’s Tony Award winning cast of Fences along side Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. Her next Broadway role was Young Nala in Disney’s Lion King. Eden was nominated for Young Artist Awards for both shows winning Best Live Theater Actress for Fences. Here are some tips from Eden for the busy teen:
Drink plenty of water.
I like to drink a plain, simple purified water called Wat-Aah! There are three basic kinds: Brain (which has extra electrolytes), Energy (electrolytes and oxygen) and Bones (which has calcium).
Clean and take care of your face regularly.
You have to really wash your face in the morning, afterschool, before dinner and before bed. I like Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and Moisturizer. Under my eyes (cause we spend a lot of time studying and staying up late) use Garnier Ultra Lift Eye Roller. I know it says it is for wrinkles but it helps tighten the puffy part under your eyes. If you can’t afford to do it use eggs, yogurt and honey as a mask… face is so soft.
Moisturize your entire body and keep your glow.
I also like to use Mega Care Tube oils sometime all over my body to get the ashy nasty away. My favorites are the Jojoba and Macadamia oils… smells so amaaazzzzinnng!
Tint That Face:
You always have to tint your face, but that does not mean you have to cake your face up. I use Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 in dark. BB Creams are taking over. I don’t really know the magic behind them but they help heal your skin, while giving you the allusion of having color. For special days… when I want some extra shimmer I reach for my mom’s Too Faced Royal Oil Coconut Oil Body Bronzer with Mangosteen Extract.
Dream Plucker Uppers:
I don’t kiss. Really I don’t. But I want my lips to be smooth. Cracky lips are disgusting and a tale tale sign that you don’t drink enough water (wat-aah). You can’t go wrong with Lip Medex by Blistex. Also I like Colorsensational Color Whisper Lipcolor and Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Cupcake and Stawberry Shortcake.
