Boozy Brunch Review: Dean St
Another week another opportunity to have a boozy brunch weekend with friends. This week we headed over to Dean St, the name of the restaurant is also the street it’s located on, so you won’t ever forget.
The Brooklyn restaurant features American fare with a Louisiana flare. For brunch they offer banana foster French toast, short ribs hash and poached eggs and the traditional eggs, bacon and biscuit worth losing your religion. Yes, it’s that good. Home fries here are curried and more than you’d expect but all of what you needed.
If you’ve never had grits before, or consider yourself one of those people who just don’t eat them, go to Dean St for bowl and then tell how this restaurant changed your whole grit life.
There is a happy hour daily but our favorite brunch drink is the Bellini with real peach nectar, none of that flavored corn syrup stuff.
As for the service, it’s like going to a place “where everybody knows your name” it’s more than a restaurant it’s a family. Eating at Dean St whether for brunch or dinner is an experience worth having over and over again.
