Lash extensions are definitely part of most women’s lives in 2014. I’m not talking about the lash extensions from the nail salon that look like bird wings. These are extensions normally from a prestigious hair and beauty salons. It’s one of the fastest ways to make your eyes pop and it’s convenient for women on-the-go, women with little or no time for makeup, and women with minimal experience with makeup. And with most celebrities opting for lash extensions, it’s a way for ladies to feel like a celebrity, in their own right.

So here’s a quick run-down to lash extensions!

-they come in 3 different forms, mink, silk, or synthetic.
-they come in different sizes, ranging from 6mm-17mm. This is because lashes are all different lengths from women to women, and on the bed of lashes, the inner corners are a bit shorter naturally.
-they also come in colors. If you add colored extensions, it can make the eyes pop instantly. A deep eggplant flatters most women.
-each lash is attached, 1 at a time, with a high-quality, semi-permanent glue. Glue comes in different formulas as well since some might have allergies.
-Applying a full set of lashes takes about 2 hours, with touch-ups every three to four weeks. Touch-ups only take about 30-45 minutes. A tip I recommend is to start with a half set of lashes. They achieve a similarly dramatic effect and that way you can get comfortable with having them on.
-your eyes are closed throughout the whole process. Therefore, glue shouldn’t go in to your eyes at all.
-please do your research and get a qualified person with a license. Inexperienced professionals can apply the lash incorrectly, resulting in your lashes falling out.
