Fashion at the 2012 Grammys

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were held on Feb. 12 at the Staple Center in Los Angeles.

The biggest night in music is also a big night for fashion. Let’s see who wore what.

♥ Katy Perry graced the red carpet with a stunning Elie Saab applique gown. She took a big risk wearing a blue gown with her blue hair but she certainly pulled it off!

♥ British singer Jessie J wore a sparkling Julien Macdonald dress to her first Grammy Awards show. Her form fitting mermaid gown was definitely an eye catcher on the red carpet.

♥ Alicia Keys wore a simple black Alexandre Vauthier dress and jazzed it up with an Egyptian-inspired Amrapali necklace.

♥ Nicki Minaj made a grand entrance when she first stepped onto the carpet wearing a shocking scarlet Versace cape. The hooded cape visibly shows the distinctive Versace emblem shaped in black beads.

♥ Last year’s Best New Artist winner Esperanza Spalding returned to the awards wearing this interesting piece accented with a gold belt to cinch the waist.

♥ Soul singer Ledisi wore up and coming designer Tashia Senn. The lavender gown is filled with sequin that sparkles from the sweetheart neckline to the slightly flared bottom.

♥ Rihanna turned heads wearing a gown designed by Giorgio Armani and Rihanna herself. This ultra-sultry dress has a plunging neckline, high split and low back. She completes her outfit with simple gold jewelry, a gold clutch and black pointy toe pumps. When interviewed she said she wanted a look like would look “sexy” and “gangsta.”

♥ Kelly Rowland looks gorgeous in this Alberta Ferretti piece. This nude dress features a sheer top, and a very elegant floral sequin design.

♥ Fergie wore a lacy tangerine orange gown designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. Although a stunning gown, seeing the black under garments underneath caught a few off guard. Slip maybe?

♥ British neo-soul songstress Adele looked amazing beautiful in this slimming black ensemble designed by Giorgio Armani. The British neo-soul songstress had a big night, winning all six Grammys she was nominated for. Can we say Rolling in the Grammys!
