Mo and Kita of ‘The T.O. Show’ Launch Hair and Beauty Collection
The creators, co-stars and Executive Producers of of VH1′s “The T.O. Show,” Monique “Mo” Jackson and Kita Williams, have created a 501(c)3 non-profit empowerment campaign entitled, Define Your Pretty. Established to empower women from the inside out, the campaign encourages dialogue and analysis of the way women are portrayed in the media.
Mo and Kita have set positive examples of black women on television, providing a refreshing change of pace from stereotypical reality TV. Partnering up with the United Negro’s College Funds (UNCF) 2011 “Empower Me Tour,” the friends and publicists will be traveling across the country to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) introducing their Define Your Pretty empowerment campaign as well as Define Your Pretty hair and beauty collection.
Kita explained, “Pretty isn’t just about the visual aspects … a lot of young girls don’t understand that. Define Your Pretty means you define pretty by your own standards. You can be pretty talented, pretty creative, pretty smart … once you define that from the inside, you can use the Define Your Pretty Collection products to gloss yourself up on the outside.”
The Define Your Pretty Collection includes a one inch solid titanium and ceramic flat iron, Pretty Kiss lip gloss, a slick stick hair wax, a diva head wrap with built in conditioner, eight essential oils healing treatment conditioner, a design styling lotion, styling spray with heat protection, and a define shine hair gloss. The products are priced in the range of $10-$60 and can be ordered on the Define Your Pretty website, www.defineyourpretty.com .
