Queen Latifah is Ready to Adopt

There isn’t much Queen Latifah hasn’t already done. At 42, the mogul has had a slew of hit albums and TV shows, conquered the movie box office, has her own cosmetics line and recently started a fashion line as well. So, what else could the queen possibly want for? It’s simple, actually – a child.

While sitting down with the ladies of “The View” on Wednesday, July 11, Latifah talked about her long-held desire for a baby and said that she’s ready to adopt a child.

“I’m actually kind of working on that,” Latifah told co-host Barbara Walters when, according to ET, she was asked if it’s something she seriously considers. “I just always wanted to bring a child home.”

According to Latifah, she’s looking to bring home a little bundle of joy sometime within the next year.

“I’m totally serious, so if you got a kid that you don’t … just give me a year — let me set up camp and send me the kid. But no, no [I’m] totally [serious about adopting],” said Latifah.

Hopefully, we’ll be seeing Latifah pushing a baby stroller down the red carpet in the near future!
