Rihanna Decides To Tone Down Her Sexy Image; Can Bad Girls Make a Comeback?

Rihanna has decided to tone down her sexy image a bit as she promotes her new album Talk That Talk.

The rockstar talked with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show 102.7 KIIS FM about her new vibe for the album. In the excerpt below she explains she wanted to keep it simple:

“I just wanted to scale right back instead of having a look. I didn’t want to make it such a big deal about what hair color or what cut. I just wanted to go right back to something simple and something flexible, something a little more natural. It’s more about the music, I don’t want to become a gimic ever.”

It’s interesting how Rihanna is very much like a chameleon as far as her music, mood, and style. But is it too late for her? She’s taken on this sexed up, bad girl image after releasing one of the most sex driven pop albums and being dogged out by critics for both her music and performances.

Is it ever too late for a women who’s developed a loose reputation to turn around and clean up her image? Will she always be looked at as a “bad girl” even with a more modest approach? We want to hear what you think.
