‘talkingpretty.com’ February Events in Review

Talkingpretty .com is always on the move! Whether we were hanging out at the latest launch in Atlanta, Frolicking through Manhattan at NY Fashion Week, or Rubbing elbows in LA during the Oscars, our team and our readers love to have fun! Check out a few reviews from events you may have missed last month and a few pictures you might have missed!

Forever Young Fashion & Accessories Boutique Opening – Definitely a fun experience! The once stop makeover section was phenomenal (our introduction to glitter lips), the live model fixture was unique, and a large amount of Atlanta’s fashion and media tastemakers came out to party!

Purple Threadz Boutique Opening- The most entertaining boutique opening by far! Performances given by a few of Atlanta’s very young up and coming artists, hourly specials and giveaways, and a runway show with guest stylist, Patrice Moise.

House of Adrene & Star Scott Present unTOUCHable– The perfect event on a Saturday afternoon! Guests were invited to enjoy adult cupcakes (they contained a special ingredient), sales given by House of Adrene (wh0 also happens to be a stylist for Melanie Fiona), and a beautiful show in which Star Scott made her makeup and beauty skills known to everyone in attendance.

Star Scott at Bebe in Lenox Mall– As Star Scott pampered me using Mary Kay products we spoke about her life as a make-up artist. She hosted Make Up over Break at the Bebe store located in Lenox Square mall and we had a blast chatting it up as the Dj played the latest music.  As she spoke with the Bebe customers to share with them the perks of using Mary Kay products, she also gave out free Mary Kay samples! Star Scott had each and every customer she spoke with feeling pretty and wanting to have another session of the Star Scott treatment.

Butterfly Cosmetics Launch–  Just before the month came to a close, we attended Aurum Lounge for the Official launch party of Butterfly Cosmetics, hosted by The Con see ierge Group and Dj Traci Steele. Founder April Smith created an affordable cosmetic line made for women of all ages, races, and skin types. At this super fab event there was a marvelous cake display, an ice sculpture craved to say Butterfly Cosmetics, and models rocking butterfly wings. Check out her line at http://www.butterflycosmetic.com

Les Nubians at 595 North- We ended Black History month enjoying live soulful music by Les Nubians, Vinx, and Julie Dexter. As the array of African drums played, the women danced along making it a very enjoyable night. Vibing to the sounds of a flute, trumpet, drums, and keyboard was a nice change from the radio music that we hear on a daily basis. We love art for our ears!
