Black Designers During Fall NYFW 2012
New York Fall Fashion Week 2012 is right around the corner. Fashion gurus that live, breathe, and eat the ‘fast life’ of style will gather to focus on nothing but FASHION. Take a look at some of the black designers that will be participating in Fashion Week!
Rachel Roy is a part of the new school… Her pieces are sophisticated yet easy-to-wear making them and instant hit. You may also recognize her from her collab with Amar’e Stoudemire that debuted vintage-inspired T-shirts last year.
Stephen Burrows
Stephen Burrows has been around since 1970’s and still has a following to this day. His fashion week presentation is a must see!
Tracy Reese is is known for her dresses that are to die for! Fashionistas such as June Ambrose, Solange, and Aisha Tyler are all fans of her work.
Samantha Black
The former intern for big names such as Alexander Mcqueen, Jill Stuart, and Michael Khors has managed to create a success for herself designing clothing for people such as Keri Hilson, and Teairra Mari. Her Fashion Week show was also featured on Love and Hip Hop New York.
Coco and Breezy are still make a stamp in the fashion world with their eyewear and accessories. They are beginning to gain respect from top designers and head honchos such as Betsy Johnson, Adidas, and Spray Ground. Everyone is in love with their new rainy days collection but wait until you what they have in stores for the new Spring/Summer which will be showcased at Fashion Week.
