Fall Trend and Tips: Gold and Metallics Under $30

Metallics are back in this Fall season!  It’s easy to find the shimmery trend, not only on the runways, but also in your favorite trendy stores!  Forever 21 and a few other stores, have a lot of great pieces that consist of more than a shiny tank top.  Here’s a few tips to use when putting together the ultimate fashion forward metallics outfit:

1. Know your body type – Not everyone looks good in a tight metallic dress.  Find pieces and fabrics that compliment your body shape, and will draw attention to your best assets.

2. Mix and Match– Mix your favorite metallic top with a low-key bottom (think grey, off-white, tan), and vice versa.  This will bring more attention to your metallic piece, and keep your look classy yet fashion forward.

3. Use as an accent piece– Metallics are a great way to spice up your daytime outfit, and make it appropriate for a night on the town.  Try pairing your metallic bandeau top with your all black blazer and pants set.  Metallic clothing still too much for you?  Try metallic accessories and shoes.  Think of metallic as color blocking, but be VERY careful trying to pair two metallics. Your bound to go down a road that shouldn’t be traveled.
