The preparation

Swipe your tattoo with toner, natural witch hazel is a great one. Makeup adheres better to oil-free skin.

The technique

1. Cover your tattoo with a concealer that matches your skin tone. For the best application, use a concealer brush. The brush will deposit a more concentrated layer than using your fingers will. The natural oils transferred from your fingers can sheer out the makeup’s pigment.

2. After you’ve applied the concealer using your brush, take a damp sponge and dab the edges of the makeup so the concealer blends with your skin.

3. To give you the most flawless finish, mist a spray on foundation in circular motions over the concealer. This ultrafine formula offers extra coverage but doesn’t look caked up.

4. Finally, set the makeup in place with a translucent powder. Use a big fluffy powder brush and gently brush it back and forth so it looks invisible on your skin. Give your cover up time to set to avoid product smudging onto any clothing.
