Serena Williams wins 7th Sony Open

Congrats are in order for tennis champ, Serena Williams as she snags her 7th Sony Open title. On Saturday, Williams, 32, conquered her Chinese component Li Na, snagging her 7th Sony Open title at the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, Fla. This is the second consecutive year that Williams has walked away with the coveted title.

In addition to her victory, Williams breaks another record, by holding the most Sony Open victories ever, surpassing tennis player Andre Agassi. But like many athletes, Williams wouldn’t be where she is without her fans, whom she thanked graciously following her win… “It was like, ‘Oh my gosh, if I can just hang in here and just try to enjoy myself. Honestly the crowd pulled me through. I heard some fans go, ‘Go Serena.”
