Mary Mary Trying Their Talents on the Pole?

Of course we would all love to be as skilled as the polaerobics instructor, but does Tina have a point? Women are constantly scrutinized when in the public eye. Whether it’s how you look or what you do, when you’re a celebrity, everyone has an opinion about what you do. Only a few artists branch outside of the realms of their wonderful publicists to act out or do as they please (Rihanna, Chris Brown), but most celebrities are very concerned with the way they are perceived by their fans and the general public. Should anyone really care if Mary Mary and their close friends are dancing on a pole in their house? Does that really change who they are as people?

When growing up from teenager to grown woman, most of us dream about doing what makes us happy; even if it means just being ourselves and expressing ourselves as so. It’s sad that many famous women get to the point where it seems that people love them for being who they are, but are so quick to be judged when they don’t fit into the box that we out them in.

Is it safe to say that you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t? What do you think, should Tina get over it and get on the pole, or should they all take heed to what they are about to do on national television?
