Up For Discussion: Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater?

You know the saying, “once a cheater, always a cheater.”

Failed high profile marriages and relationships have been splashed all over the news and tabloids in the last year alone due to infidelity. The most recent case being NBA player Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa.

It’s been reported that Kobe has been cheating with multiple women over the years, but this last one was what made Vanessa decide to call it quits for good.

Men who repeatedly cheat on women, whether their wife, fiance, or girlfriend make it hard for men who may have slipped up once and never intend on doing so again. Celebrities like Kobe, Shaq, and Tiger Woods just to name a few, make you question the integrity of marriages today.

Some may argue that Kobe is young, talented, handsome, and makes millions of dollars a year, so it’s more acceptable and expected that he cheat on his wife. But for the average Joe who’s married ten plus years, it’s unacceptable for him to stray from his spouse. What’s with the line of demarcation?

It’s been proven time and time again with celebrity relationships that it doesn’t matter how attractive their partner is, how supportive they are, or how many kids they have … there’s still that other woman (or women) on the side.

One would think that after Kobe went through his alleged rape case, or even after he saw what happened to Tiger Woods and his failed marriage, that he would reconsider being involved with women other than his wife. But he chose to stick with it.

Does it really take that much time and maturity for men to want to be faithful? Do they have to go through loosing it all, including their money, home, and family to see what they had in the first place?

Kobe’s case may be the extreme, but there are men who have little to no money who are doing the exact same thing.

So spill it ladies, if he cheats once does he get a pass? Or “once a cheater always a cheater”?
