VH1’s Love and Hip Hop: Why Would Chrissy Propose To Her Man?

Season two of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop aired last night and it looks like this season is going to be good. In season one, one of the most memorable and shocking episodes was when long term girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin dropped down on one knee and proposed to her rapper boyfriend Jim Jones.

The first episode of season two began with Chrissy and Jim Jones back in the jewelry shop replacing Jones “lost” wedding ring. Now there seems to be three things wrong with this picture:

1. Jones lost his custom quarter million dollar wedding band … which means he took it off of his finger. You can fill in the blank.

2. Where was Chrissy’s wedding ring? Just like Chrissy said, they should have been back in the jewelry store picking Chrissy out a wedding ring and not replacing Jones.

3. Yes Chrissy is obviously a ride-or-die girlfriend, but what made her feel as though she needed to drop down to one knee and propose to her boyfriend?

You know what they say, if a man wants to be with you he will be. So throughout their very long term relationship which has come off more like a marriage, just without the rings, somewhere down the line Chrissy got fed up with waiting and decided to pop the question herself. She’s set the tone for her future with Joness, and look where it’s gotten her … so far, nowhere.

Which prompts the question … under what circumstances would you ever switch roles and pop the question to your man?
