Pretty Girls in Black History: Josephine Baker’s Fashion Influence
Being that it’s Black History Month here at Talking Pretty we are all about fashion and all things pretty! Josephine Baker, a St. Louis, Missouri born dancer, singer, actress, and all around entertainer was around wayyy before our the beauties that we look up to today.
She was born Freda Josephine McDonald in 1906 and throughout her career she grew to be the highest paid entertainer in Europe.
Her stage costumes were to die for and I’m sure you can see some of the same influence still in super model shoots today. Ms. Baker was something like a legend!
