Fashion Fair Cosmetics Names Celebrity Makeup Artist Sam Fine as Creative Makeup Director

Sam Fine, a 20 year makeup artist veteran, known for dressing faces like Iman, Queen Latifah, Vanessa Williams, and Jennifer Hudson, has recently been named Creative Director of African American cosmetics brand, Fashion Fair Beauty.

Fine’s duties in his new role will include overseeing the creation of new products, expand Fashion Fair’s color palette, and make in-store appearances. And the much anticipated makeup line Sam Fine fans have been asking for for years, will finally  launch. Fine plans to unveil his own unique trend collections in the Spring of 2012 called, “Sam Fine for Fashion Fair.”

“There’s no place I’d rather foster my creative energies,” said Fine.  ”Fashion Fair was a barrier-breaking cosmetic line since its inception 38 years ago and remains a leader in prestige cosmetics for women of color.”

Fine’s work has appeared on the covers and inside of Harper’s Bazaar, Essence, and Marie Claire. Fine was also selected to be the first African American spokesperson for Revlon and Cover Girl Cosmetics. Fine’s credibility and pedigree coupled with his friendly, knowledgeable and approachable style, he’ll have no  problem filling these creative shoes. –mckenzie harris
