How to wear bangs

Bangs transform your appearance. They can make you look cute or homely. So make sure you follow these tips to style, maintain and wear your bangs.
When choosing your hair cut, consider the shape of your face and the texture of your hair. To determine the shape of your face, start by pinning your hair back and take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Here are the basic face shapes:

Heart-shaped
If you have a wide forehead and temples and a small chin, your face is shaped like a heart. You should go for long, wispy side-swept bangs that will help draw attention to your eyes.

Round
You have a round face if you have a full face, rounded at the forehead and chin, and the fullest part of your face is your cheeks. It is best if you go for bangs that are cut thick and curved. Make sure they are not too thick or you may end up looking like a school girl.

Square
If you have a strong forehead and a jaw line with similar width, you have a square-shaped face. Go for long side-swept bangs that hit just below the eyebrow and a little longer on the sides.

Oval
If you have a round hair line and a narrow jaw, you are lucky enough to pull off any style. Women with an oval-shaped face should select a style that matches their hair texture and routine. But be very careful when asking for super short bangs. On some, they can look very adorable while on others they can look like you tried cutting your own hair and it went bad.
Don’t get bangs if you have curly or puffy hair and you if can’t style them every day. If you do, carry hair bands and hair pins to save your bad hair day from turning into the worse one you’ve ever had.
