Angela Simmons, Selita Ebanks, Cynthia Bailey, BET ‘Rip the Runway’: What You Missed (Photos)

Hip-hop artists B.o.B., Wale, Lil Kim, Diggy Simmons, Meek Mill, AraabMuzik, Robin Thicke and Estelle took over the catwalk with their musical performances on Wednesday, March 21, for the premiere of BET “Rip the Runway” 2012 – a cable TV special where music meets fashion on the runway at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

The highly-anticipated annual fashion event was hosted by Victoria’s Secrets model Selita Ebanks, who debuted her swimsuit line, Sass by Selita, and actor Pooch Hall (“The Game”). Emerging and established designers showcased their latest trends in fashion, swimwear and accessories, including Monif C., Sammy B., Dominique Auxilly, Jovani, Brian Litchenberg, AKOO, Billionaire Boys Club, Black Apple NYC, Joyrich, and LaVie NY. A host of shoe designers took center stage with the help of an interactive Shoe Zoom feature, which provided an up close view of the show’s fabulous footwear.

A special Subway 2 the Runway segment, where Pastry designer Angela Simmons chose one lucky winner for a “Rip the Runway” model makeover.  And, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Cynthia Bailey, was this year’s behind-the-scenes correspondent.
