Atlanta’s Blendz Salon Kicks Off Spring With Pampering and Cocktails

A girl can’t say “no” to “a night of pampering, appreciation and beauty maintenance.” Those were the buzz words on the bright and colorful invitation to the pamper party at Blendz Salon Midtown.

When this writer arrived, the artisans were performing their magic. The occasion called for the dedicated team of glam professionals to don all-white.

Hosted by Paula Britt, owner and celebrity master stylist, and Sandye Lomax, celebrity makeup artist/lash expert, the evening of pampering included a range of complimentary beauty treatments — lashes, polish changes, mini-makeovers — hors d’oeuvres, a freshly blended nutritional supplement and Qream cocktails, including the Queen’s Drink mixed with Qream Peach Créme Liqueur and Ciroc Coconut vodka and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries which is a blend of Qream Strawberry Créme Liqueur and chocolate vodka. Guest indulged on deviled eggs, canapés, and cheese and deli meat varieties.

Huddled in the corner near the barista was a line of women waiting patiently for their complimentary eyelash consultation and application by Sandye, a newly minted Atlanta resident via New York.

I sat alongside Press Reset Entertainment’s Shanti Das, the event planner and one of the evening’s sponsors, during a polish change session (Essie “Play Date” was my color of choice). Shanti informed me that she wanted to kick off the spring with “something fun” for the ladies. For those who missed this one, there’s another one planned for later this spring.
