Chris Brown and Rihanna Together: Would You Take Him Back?

Much has been said since the incident before the 2009 Grammy Awards with Chris Brown and current ex-girlfriend Rihanna. As Chris Brown dealt with intense public scrutiny and various form of punishment including career setbacks, Rihanna played victim, spoke out against domestic violence, and tried to make sense of everything while others tried to make decisions for her. Celebrity peers to media moguls such as Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, and Tyra Banks spoke out publicly against domestic abuse and the future reunion off the two.

As the months passed and everyone moved on with their lives and the next new celebrity gossip, Rihanna was left to save face, suck it up and move on with her many celebrity and international pop star duties as the media ajusted their magnifying glass in search for more juice.

And they got what they were looking for.

A broken-hearted Rihanna self-medicating her pains and pressures hit the headlines everyweek, but somehow, one thing everyone missed- how did she feel about the situation now that all is said and done? No one is perfect and the couple is rumored to have similar outgoing yet dominant personalities if you catch my drift, which leads me to believe this isn’t her first time in the rodeo. So it just might be safe to say this woman still harbored feelings for a man that hurt her. And just like Rihanna, whether it be physical, emotional, or financial pain- we’ve all been there.

We asked a few female students at Alabama State University about the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident and after much discussion we posed this question and received the following answers:

How do you feel about Rihanna and Chris Brown getting back together? Yay or Nay?

  • Yay.   Because it would be good for both of their images.

Kayla W. (career goal- music publishing)

  • Yay.   You can’t help who you love.

Breanna B.  (career goal- Entertainment Attorney)

  • Nay.   It’s not right. I just don’t agree with it.

Khikira M. (career goal- Management)

  • Yay.  They are regular people, and just like regular people have problems, break up, and get back together, they are allowed to do the same.

Crystal K. (career goal- PR/Marketing)
