The chicken wing giant’s limited-edition flavor trio and exclusive season-long bundle could make this the tastiest football season yet.
Football is back, and Wingstop isn’t playing around when it comes to celebrating the new season. The chicken wing chain has rolled out a fresh lineup of menu drops designed to keep fans fed through every game day of the year.
A New Spin on a Fan Favorite
Wingstop announced this week that it’s expanding its signature lemon pepper seasoning into a full trio of flavors. Alongside the original blend of zesty lemon and cracked black pepper, the chain is introducing chili crunch and chili glaze variations, giving loyal customers two brand-new ways to enjoy a flavor that’s become synonymous with the brand.
The Lemon Pepper Trio debuts first for Club Wingstop members starting Sept. 10, then rolls out nationwide Sept. 15 for a limited run. The trio will be available across the menu, including on classic wings, and pairs well with the chain’s popular housemade ranch. Company leadership described the expansion as an extension of the brand’s ongoing effort to reinvent flavors fans already love, framing it as part of a broader push to own football season traditions for years to come.
Wingstop’s Wing Pass Delivers Weekly Wins
The bigger headline, though, might be the chain’s new Wing Pass, a deal built entirely around the excitement of the 18-week NFL regular season. Each pass unlocks up to 18 Watch Party Bundles, one for every week of the season, with each bundle including 20 classic wings across as many as four flavors, a large order of fries and a large ranch on the side.
Here’s what makes it stand out:
- Only 100 Wing Passes will be released
- Each pass costs $27.99 — the price of a single bundle
- Passholders get a new bundle offer through the Wingstop app every Sunday morning
- The offer runs the full 18-week regular season
- Available exclusively to Club Wingstop members
Limited Availability, Big Stakes
The exclusivity is the catch. Passes go on sale at noon Central time Thursday, available only through Wingstop’s website, and only to members of the brand’s loyalty program. Given the steep discount compared to buying bundles individually week after week, demand is expected to be intense, and the limited supply means procrastinators may be shut out entirely.
Founded in 1994 and based in Dallas, Wingstop has grown into a global operation with more than 3,000 locations franchised and company-owned worldwide. The brand has increasingly leaned into sports culture tie-ins as a way to build loyalty among football fans who treat game day like a ritual.
Joining a Crowded Playbook
Wingstop isn’t the only chain trying to score points this football season. Buffalo Wild Wings recently brought back a nostalgia-driven menu built around early 2000s favorites, while Qdoba launched a “Diptember” promotion featuring 14 different dips, salsas and sauces available through Nov. 2.
White Castle has entered the mix too, teaming up with the Kelce brothers’ Garage Beer brand for a new beer cheese menu, and Sonic recently refreshed its value meal offerings. Little Caesars, meanwhile, brought back its long-running $5 Pizza Pizza deal to mark the start of the NFL season.
With so many chains competing for game-day loyalty, Wingstop’s combination of a flavor expansion and an exclusive, deeply discounted pass could be its strongest attempt yet to stand out from the pack — assuming fans can snag one of the passes before they’re gone.
