A launch built around family and performance
Beyoncé marked the expansion of her Cécred hair care brand with a star-studded event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 8, celebrating the debut of the new Cécred Styling Collection. The all-white affair doubled as a full hair show, featuring live demonstrations, dancers and hairstylists showcasing the six new products across a range of styles. Joining her on stage were her mother, Tina Knowles, and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, grounding the night in the family legacy that inspired the brand in the first place.
Among those in attendance were Chloe Bailey, Houston rapper Monaleo and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, along with a room full of hair influencers and supporters who turned out to see the collection in action.
What is in the collection
The six-piece Cécred Styling Collection was originally released on March 19 and is designed specifically for high-performance styling. The lineup includes a thermal shield mist, a heat-activated silk glaze, a volumizing mousse, a hold spray, a wrap and set foam and a strong hold gel.
According to the brand, every product in the collection is formulated to protect hair from heat up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit while also defending against humidity, pollution and the general wear that comes with repeated styling. The products were developed around a patented StemShield Complex, which Beyoncé created to meet the specific demands of life on tour under intense stage lighting.
Before the public launch, Beyoncé put the collection to the test herself. In an interview with WWD, she confirmed she had already been using the products throughout her Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour, noting she developed them because she could not find styling products that could hold up under those conditions without causing damage over time.
The roots of Cécred
Cécred first launched in February 2024 with a foundation line covering all hair types and textures. Beyoncé had teased the venture in May 2023, connecting it directly to her childhood spent in her mother’s hair salon and the influence that experience had on her relationship with hair care.
In August 2025, the brand expanded with a Protection Collection designed to address the specific challenges of wearing protective hairstyles and extensions. All five products from that drop became available at Ulta Beauty shortly after release.
The Cécred Styling Collection is the latest chapter in what has become a personal and professional project for Beyoncé. From the beginning, she has positioned the brand not just as a product line but as an extension of a family tradition, one centered on the idea that the way people care for their hair is connected to something deeper than appearance.
The Los Angeles launch event put that philosophy on full display, pairing the science behind the formulas with the kind of theatrical presentation her audience has come to expect. With her mother and daughter beside her and a room full of hairstylists demonstrating what the products can do, the night made a clear statement about where Cécred is headed.
