The from-scratch cooking star says four kids is the final count, and this time she has a plan to make sure it sticks.
Nara Smith has turned making everything from scratch into an empire, whipping up cereal, chewing gum and soda on camera for millions of followers. Now the 25-year-old content creator is making a decision about her family that leaves very little room for a do-over.
During the Oct. 8 episode of Emma Grede’s podcast Aspire, Smith said she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, are finished having children. When Grede made it clear she wasn’t buying it, Smith doubled down, telling the entrepreneur she plans to have her tubes tied and intends to get the appointment on the calendar.
The couple share four children: Rumble Honey, 5; Slim Easy, 4; Whimsy Lou, 2; and Fawnie Golden, 1.
Why Her Body Gets the Final Vote
Smith was candid that the choice has nothing to do with a lack of love for babies. In theory, she admitted, she would happily welcome another one. The problem is the physical toll. Another pregnancy, another stretch of postpartum recovery and another lap through the toddler years add up to more than she believes her body can handle.
She also made the point that the hardest part of parenting doesn’t end in the delivery room. Caring for a newborn and then keeping up with a toddler, she said, is exhausting work, and it’s a season she has zero interest in repeating a decade from now.

The Back-to-Back Motherhood Strategy
That thinking explains why the couple welcomed their children in such quick succession. Smith described the approach as tackling the most demanding stretch of parenting all at once instead of spreading it out over years. Once her kids are older and more independent, she said, circling back to diapers and sleepless nights simply isn’t happening.
She even sketched out a playful picture of life at 40, with her kids grown and out of the house while she enjoys her glow-up and drops by for visits.
It may sound unconventional, but it taps into a conversation plenty of millennial and Gen Z parents are having right now about timing, burnout and what they want their 40s to look like. For many women, especially those who have watched mothers and grandmothers sacrifice their own health for the family, the idea of drawing a firm line around your body is a deeply relatable one.

Fans Have Heard This Before
If her followers are side-eyeing the announcement, they’ve earned the right. After giving birth to her third child in April 2024, Smith told an interviewer she was completely done growing her family. She joked at the time that wrangling toddlers was the most effective birth control she knew.
Then came the plot twist. Smith revealed she was expecting again and welcomed daughter Fawnie Golden in September 2025, catching much of her audience off guard and sending her comment sections into overdrive.
Lucky Blue Admits Four Changed Everything
Her husband has been just as honest about how much a fourth child shifted the household. In a March interview with PEOPLE, Lucky Blue said the couple genuinely believed three kids would be their limit. Going to four, he acknowledged, has been a real adjustment and tricky to navigate at times, though he said the family has finally started to find its rhythm.
That kind of transparency has become part of the couple’s appeal. Their feeds may look polished, with perfectly plated meals and coordinated outfits, but both have been open about the chaos behind the camera.
The difference this time is that Smith isn’t just declaring she’s done. She’s talking about a medical procedure and a scheduled appointment, a step that signals a much firmer commitment than an offhand comment in an interview. For a creator whose brand is built on doing things the long, hard way in the kitchen, she appears to have decided that when it comes to her own body, she has already done more than enough.
