A years old wish for a Bratz doll is coming true the same week Tyla releases her sophomore album and headlines the WNBA All Star Game.
Tyla has always had a bit of a doll like presence, so it tracks that she is officially becoming one. The Grammy winning singer is getting the Bratz treatment, with a doll modeled directly after her signature looks arriving the same week as her sophomore album.
A wish that became a Bratz doll
The doll will feature the braided bob Tyla helped popularize, paired with outfits pulled straight from her real wardrobe. One version wears a recreation of the Balmain Sands of Time dress she wore to her Met Gala debut in 2024, complete with a miniature version of her signature hourglass purse. A second look leans into performance mode, styled with a sequin covered miniskirt, a cropped top and a gold chain belt finished with a small Bratz charm.
The collaboration traces back to something Tyla put into the world herself. In 2024 she posted a fan made mockup of a Bratz doll styled after her and said on social media that she wanted it to become real. She recently recirculated that same post while teasing the actual doll’s arrival, turning an offhand wish into an official product.
When and where to get it
The Bratz x Tyla doll debuts July 24 at a pop up shop inside FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Plaza in New York, where the first 100 buyers will get a meet and greet and signing with Tyla herself. Fans outside New York can buy the doll starting July 27 at 8 a.m. Pacific through Bratz’s website, with additional retailers expected to carry it shortly after.

A new album lands the same week
The doll’s release lines up with Tyla’s second studio album, A*Pop, also out July 24. The 14 track project includes recent singles “Is It,” “She Did It Again” and “Chanel,” continuing the popiano sound she has built by blending pop structure with South African amapiano rhythms.
Tyla is backing the release with a run of high profile performances, including a stop on The Today Show’s Citi Concert Series the same day the album drops, followed by a headlining slot at the WNBA All Star Game in Chicago on July 25. That performance makes her the first international artist to headline the event, which airs on ABC and Disney Plus.

Leaning into Y2K for the rollout
Tyla previewed the album era with a distinctly early 2000s aesthetic. At the London launch party for A*Pop, she wore a strappy white bralette with a low slung, frayed Gucci denim skirt, glitter across her torso, a slicked back half up ponytail and crystal embellished Christian Louboutin sandals, finishing the look with a temporary lower back tattoo spelling out the album’s name in neon green. The styling echoes early 2000s music video imagery, an aesthetic she has been building toward for weeks through neon toned bikini and body paint looks shared on social media, along with an oversized vintage windbreaker worn during a recent stop in Berlin.
Between the doll, the album and a genuinely rare headlining slot at a major sports event, Tyla’s week amounts to a full scale takeover built almost entirely on ideas she put into the world herself.
