Will Khloé Kardashian ever join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Probably not. On the Sept. 30 episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the 42-year-old told guest Paige DeSorbo that she loves the Bravo franchise but can’t picture herself on it. Her reasoning was simple. She has spent nearly her whole TV career working alongside family, and she believes the Housewives world means fighting for screen time.
So what would she sign up for? A competition show. Khloé said she would love to compete on The Great British Bake Off, but her dream job is hosting a competition series for kids. She already loves watching kids’ baking shows and American Ninja Warrior, and she said she could see herself in that role.
Why did Khloé Kardashian pass on ‘Real Housewives’?
She called the franchise cutthroat. In her view, Housewives have to talk about other people to justify their place on the show. She admitted she doesn’t know how things really work behind the scenes, but she said there are times she would rather keep her opinion to herself. DeSorbo agreed that having an opinion comes with the job.
That small moment tells you a lot. After nearly two decades on camera, Khloé knows exactly which kind of reality TV she wants and which kind she wants no part of.
Why does Paige DeSorbo make Khloé Kardashian’s answer hit harder?
Most write-ups miss this part. The person Khloé was talking to was no random guest. DeSorbo spent seven seasons on Bravo’s Summer House before announcing on her Instagram story in June 2025 that she would not return. Before she left, she even had to shut down rumors that she was headed to The Real Housewives of New York City.
So the screen time battle Khloé described from the outside is one DeSorbo knows from the inside. These are two women who built businesses well beyond the confessional chair, comparing notes on a game neither of them needs to play anymore.
Khloé’s podcast has made a habit of these conversations. In March, she sat down with Morgan Stewart for a candid talk about life after reality TV.
Has Khloé Kardashian’s family avoided reality TV drama?
Not exactly, and that’s the irony. Khloé may want no part of Housewives conflict, but her own family gave reality TV some of its most famous fights. Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans still remember Kim swinging her handbag at Khloé in the middle of an argument. The difference is that those fights happened between sisters who still had to show up for Sunday dinner. On a Housewives cast, the drama is part of the job description.
Not everyone in the family has been comfortable in the spotlight, either. Kendall Jenner, who was 11 when the family’s first E! show premiered in 2007, told WSJ. Magazine in 2023 that she never felt built for fame.
Could Khloé Kardashian really host a kids’ competition show?
She has more experience than people remember. Khloé co-hosted the second season of The X Factor with Mario Lopez in 2012. She later fronted E!’s Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, a transformation competition series.
Then there is the mom factor. Khloé is raising True, 8, and Tatum, 4, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson. A kids’ show would let her be on TV in a setting that feels a lot like home.
What does Khloé Kardashian’s answer say about her future?
It says she is chasing joy, not drama. Khloé has spent years fielding questions about relationships, rumors and family feuds. Her answer this time was refreshingly light. She does not want a seat at the Beverly Hills table. She wants a kitchen full of kids and a timer counting down.
If a network is listening, she has already told them her answer.
