Fall Fashion Finds We’re Actually Excited About

Eva Marcille

At times, the fashion world can seem a little repetitive and lackluster with “trends” that return every other season … ponchos, stripes, tartan print, etc.

It can be hard to keep up and even harder for your wallet. We narrowed it down to the top five refreshing trends we are looking forward to this fall. –mckenzie harris

Leather Skirts

The leather skirt has been reinvented. Designers focused on pairing leather with casual, soft textured sweaters, shirts and button ups. Tuck it in, and add a skinny belt for a modern feel.

High Slits

Dresses and skirts are sexy this fall with high slits that are showing off a lot of leg. The trick is to pick a dress that is still conservative but shows that sliver of leg when you move. The same goes for tops when paired with a skirt.

Tuxedo-Inspired

Eva Marcille set the bar with the custom white tuxedo she was spotted wearing paired with black Christian Louboutin Daddodil pumps. Tailored black and white tuxedos were seen on fall runways, giving models a feminine touch with just the right amount of masculine edge. For a no-fuss approach, tuck a white tuxedo shirt into a pair of casual boyfriend jeans, and pair it with some low-key oxford shoes or Mary Jane pumps.

Duster Coats

Stay warm and look chic in coats that come all the way down to the floor. Go for structured, slim-fitting styles that will flatter your figure and won’t appear as if they’re swallowing you. You can choose from a bold collar, a skinny jack lapel or none at all when wearing a duster coat.

Bright-Colored Pants

Colored pants are perfect to transition into fall from your current summer wardrobe. Whether the pants are cropped, trousers, high waist or wide leg, try pairing them with a soft gray, white or other neutral color. Adding texture like a tweed blazer can also add a little twist to your fit.
