The 98th Academy Awards are taking place tonight at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with Conan O’Brien returning as host for a ceremony that is celebrating one of the more globally diverse nominee fields in recent memory. Two films are leading the conversation heading into the evening, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners and Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, both of which earned nominations across multiple major categories including Best Picture.
Nigerian-British actress Wunmi Mosaku is among the evening’s most closely watched contenders, earning a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her performance in Sinners. She is joined in the film’s nominations by Michael B. Jordan, who is nominated for Best Actor, and Delroy Lindo, who is in contention for Best Supporting Actor.
